Description
Two dozen students participated in the creation of this mosaic through a Chicago Arts and Soccer Camp called Chicago Scores in 2001. The students wrote poetry and made sketches in response to the question "Who are you?".
Working under the guidance of lead artists Ginny Sykes and Julia Sowles-Barlow the students included imagery of themselves as well as a foot kicking a soccer ball, and natural elements such as a leaf and a butterfly.
Gynny Sykes and Julia Sowles-Barlow have worked together with students on other mosaic projects in the parks such as Alternatives at the Margate Field House in Lincoln Park.
